Mick Brennan Selected for the GB Paralympic Squad in Sochi
Each year, AVSC sponsors a "Best Newcomer Award" and makes a modest donation to both the Combined Services Disabled Ski Team (CSDST) and the British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association (BLESMA). It is therefore very exciting to have received the following message from Chairman, CSDST:
Dear Members of the Alpbach Visitors Ski Club
It is with huge pride that I can say that Mick Brennan has been selected for the GB squad for the Paralympics in Sochi. This is the target that we have as a team been working towards since the outset, and it is a huge credit to the staff, in particular the coach Mark Scorgie, that Mick has made it.
We could not have done this though without the magnificent support we have had from our donors and supporters. I truly mean that, and hope that you will feel some considerable pride in knowing that your support has helped this amazing athlete overcome so much and get the recognition he deserves. Roll on the games and let us just see if dreams can come true.
