Alpbach Visitors Ski ClubThe AVSC offers Junior Training and Adult Racing programmes. The focus is on Ski Training Weeks for the Junior membership during which we offer ski instruction and racing to a higher standard than is usually provided by ski schools. The Club also organises races for all age groups at Christmas, in Februrary and at Easter as well as during the Club Weekend in early March.
In addition to the training and racing programmes, there is a strong social aspect to the Club. We provide a unique year round connection to the village of Alpbach and organise social events throughout the season for Club members. The AVSC was founded in 1968 by Major Billy Patterson as a club to develop junior racing for British children. It is a non-profit making organisation which puts any surplus back into the club programme. Club members develop this programme, run the local administration and maintain a valuable connection with Alpbach throughout the year. |
