Easter Week 2015 Report
There was no lack of snow for our 2015 Easter week! We started and finished with sunshine but had high winds and snow for three days. This created some good off piste skiing which was enjoyed by all the classes. We had an interesting end of afternoon on Tuesday when the Wiedersbergerhorn gondola was shut down due to high winds and the Inneralpbach gondola and the new 6 man chairlift then suffered a power outage.
We managed to get half of the classes off the Inneralpbach gondola before it shut down and the other classes were brought down by instructors. The new snow made our Friday race piste very soft and despite good sliding by the instructors became badly rutted, catching out a few of the later runners. We decided on the night before that the piste would not stand up to our AVSC and then an Open Race so, on safety grounds, decided to cancel the Open Race.
We had a great week and look forward to seeing you all again in 2016.
