2026 Junior Training weeks info & registration
Dear Friends,
With Autumn underway, it is time to think about skiing. The 2026 junior weeks are Half Term, Saturday 14 to Saturday 21 February and Easter, Saturday 28 March to Saturday 4 April, with an early Easter Sunday on 5 April and the Alpbach lifts closing on Sunday the 12 th.
2026 Pricing.
As a not-for-profit organisation we aim to break even each year but costs are increasing across the board and we have had to raise our 2026 price to €330 with the sibling discount continuing where applicable at €300. This is our first increase in two years, and with lunch included, continues to offer very good value.
Registration Forms.

Half Term and Easter Registration Forms are attached. This Half Term is also Fasching or Carnival Week. Because it will be exceptionally busy we must book our instructors well before the week starts and your early return of completed registration forms will help enormously to avoid a last minute scramble. As always, payment may be left until later but early return of forms is essential for our season planning. Late applicants may have to be wait-listed
Early booking of accommodation is strongly recommended

Membership.
Those participating in the AVSC weeks must be Club Members.
We have had to increase our Annual Rates for Families which have been static for over twenty years. With this change, we took the opportunity to return to the previous two category format of Family and Individual only
Family Membership is now £30 / €35 and includes U/18 sons and daughters
Individual Membership is for 18 and over and remains at £15 / €20
An updated AVSC Membership Application Form is attached for those who need to join; these may be returned electronically or by post. Those who pay membership annually, please consider starting a Standing Order and if you decide to do this, either initiate it directly with your Bank (details on the Membership Application Form) and let the Club Secretary know or return the original completed form to the Club Secretary c/o 26 Fabian Road, London. SW6 7TZ as some banks will only act on original documentation.
Payment may be made either before the start of the weeks, by bank transfer or with cash in Alpbach but please return the forms now, even if payment is made later. In line with our usual policy, full fee refunds will be made to early payers who are then unable to attend the training weeks. Regrettably, we are unable to accept CC payments.

Search for an Honourable Treasurer.
After 7 seven years and with children no longer participating in the AVSC Junior Training weeks, Paul seeks to hand the reins over to a new treasurer. The job is not complicated and we are not required to produce audited accounts. Paul has set-up a simple spreadsheet accounting system which serves the Club well. Our accounts are published in the Newsletter, posted on the website and then approved by members at our AGM each year.

Modernisation of our Administration.
We have not yet been able to source a system to simplify our administration which must deal in both Sterling and Euros, we will continue with our research and keep members informed of progress.
